B. Y. UUUU!!!

You guys.  College is fab.  I'm not loving the homework (yes, already...due maybe to the fact that I just realized that the "Chapter 1" reading I'm meant to be doing actually has TWENTY-TWO more pages to go! when I thought I was about done!  Fab.) (And yes, I promise I'll get right on that in a sec.)  But the classes are so interesting.  My Psychology class seems O.K., I hope it'll get better, cos I really do love the topic.  But humanities.  Man alive.  That class is just deeply groovy.  For starters, I actually know people in there haha - all the kids from my Y Group, so that's great.  & the professor is one of those loud, crazy, funny moms...you know?  & she really knows her stuff.  We talked about the Sistine Chapel and the story behind it for like an hour yesterday and it was possibly THE coolest thing ever.  No joke.
So ya, darlings, I'm in love with college.  I loved high school, don't get me wrong, but people are not just a kiddin ya when they say college is a million times better!  Well. I'm going to go do my marvy Psychology reading now.  Joy. & a half.  But I guess that's just the price ya have to pay!
P.S....rooftop concert July 1st, anyone?  It should be a good one! :)

NSO - BYU here I come!

New Student Orientation this weekend.  I thought it was going to be a drag, and for a bit it was...but law.  It was groovy.  I love BYU!  Like, I love how we pray before EVERYTHING (haha it took me a bit to get used to, but now it's fab) and I love how everyone feels totally free to talk about religion, etc. - even living in Springville, possibly the most Mormon town in, obviously, the most Mormon state, it wasn't like this at ALL.  I even love hilarious/so pathetic things like The Dating Game haha. :)
& I love the kids Erin & I hung out with, we're all such the best! ;)  Kyle, Tennessee (Will), KJ, Kevin, and Cody, to name a few...oh those kids haha!  And we had great Y Group leaders and all the kids in our group, not just the guys listed, were awesome.
So NSO was marvy and a half.  & I'm so excited for my BYU adventure!!!
Go Cougars!

Spin.

http://www.spin.com/
This is like another Nylon.  Lotsa free music and excellent music articles.  Love it a lot.  Go. To. It. Now.  It'll make your Wednesday that much better. :)

Trek.

Just went on trek this last weekend...it was SO amazing.  like a super-spiritual, crazy-fun camping trip with all your best friends.  I came back with a gnarly burn (+ blisters, soreness, battered feet...) but hey ho, pigs bum, it was so worth it!  Suffice it to say I totally love new friends & my ward & my stake & the gospel.  Trek was the best. like ever. LOVES!

Florence & the Machine. Does it get any better?

She's so freaking amazing. Let's just acknowledge that right here.  This is an adorable interview from the folks at www.nylonmag.com .  And after you watch this, please go listen to ALL her music.  You'll love her (and me, if this is your first introduction! ;) Although she's everywhere, so I don't know how that could be.) forEVER.  emphasis necessary.  Cheers darlings!

A-Punk - Vampire Weekend

So I know everyone knows and loves this song, but I just watched the video and the vaguely manic quality of it is just too good to pass up!  Love it! Enjoy, cheres!

You know that "song" Friday?

http://music-mix.ew.com/2011/03/14/rebecca-black-friday-music-video/
so true.  this is a hilarious article!  and honestly.  i just heard Friday...yes, just barely.  I definitely could have gone my whole life without hearing that "song".
Best line of this whole article..."Rebecca Black is the first teen singer to successfully marry the vocal stylings of Miley Cyrus and HAL 9000." hahahaha. love.
